What I enjoy most is the opportunity to witness growth, not just in the mentee, but in myself too. Helping someone navigate their path, offering insight, and seeing them build confidence or achieve milestones is incredibly rewarding. There's something fulfilling about being a sounding board and knowing your experiences can help someone else feel less alone or more capable. What do you hope to gain from mentoring someone? Mentorship is a two-way street. I hope to gain new perspectives, especially from someone who might be coming from a different background or generation. It challenges me to reflect on my own journey, communicate more clearly, and stay connected to emerging trends and attitudes. In many ways, mentoring helps sharpen my own leadership and empathy. Why do you think mentorship is important in our industry? Our industry moves fast, whether it's technology, education, or any high-growth sector and formal education doesn't always cover the unspoken rules, networking skills, or personal development aspects. Mentorship fills those gaps. It ensures knowledge transfer, supports inclusion, and helps newcomers avoid common pitfalls while building confidence and resilience. What do you think students through the EOC program are most looking for from a mentor? EOC students often seek guidance, clarity, and encouragement. Many are navigating higher education or career pathways for the first time, and they're looking for someone to demystify the process. They want someone to listen, believe in them, and provide practical advice; not just about academics or careers, but also about how to stay motivated and handle setbacks. It is a very fulfilling experience to be an EOC mentor because I get to combine my passion for mentorship with my Drexel University alumni affiliation. I have been very fortunate to have Drexel alumni mentors in the financial services industry throughout my career, and EOC gives me the opportunity to pay it forward. It is truly inspiring to connect with talented, aspiring professionals, and to share my experiences to help them shape their own career path. " "
