Bond Market Cycles The US bond market rose again in September as the Fed's interest rate cut lifted fixed income returns. When we look at YTD results, we find that bonds have delivered solid gains following a tough multi-year period as interest rates and inflation rose following the pandemic. Declines in the USD have also boosted unhedged, non-dollar-denominated international fixed income performance for US investors.
