Was last month a September to remember? Not quite. Global financial markets generally lost ground in the past month, but we didn't see investors panic.
Was last month a September to remember? Not quite. Global financial markets generally lost ground in the past month, but we didn't see investors panic. Stocks largely struggled in September as rising interest rates dampened sentiment and pressured both domestic and international equities. Bond yeilds rose across many major economies in September, including Japan, Canada, Great Britain, the European Union (EU), and the US. The Federal Reserve rasised interest rates on September 16. This hike may not be the only one for this year, but we don't anticipate a major hiking cycle. What we're watching : Will the American consumer finally become fatiqued by higher prices and limited wage growth?
